Kolik nových televizí se objeví po přechodu na DVB-T2? A které to budou? To jsou očekávatelné dotazy běžných diváků, kteří jsou nuceni zakoupit si nový set-top-box nebo TV přijímač. A přirozeně je zajímá, co jim budoucnost s názvem DVB-T2 přinese.
Před deseti lety se přecházelo z analogového na digitální televizní vysílání. Tehdy se výrazně zvýšil počet dostupných TV stanic. Česká televize postupně přinesla čtyři nové programy. Nova s Primou mají každá minimálně 8 dalších stanic včetně těch, které vysílají přes kabel nebo satelit. Není sporu, že přechod na DVB-T divákům přinesl větší možnosti výběru. Přinutil totiž televize k rozšíření programové nabídky.
Jenomže kolik nových televizí může obohatit nabídku v DVB-T2? Na tuto otázku neexistuje jednoznačná odpověď. Lze se však domnívat, že vyloženě nových televizních programů nebude mnoho. Nova s Primou už avizovaly, že další bezplatné stanice neplánují. O nových kanálech nemluví ani TV Barrandov. Česká televize se chce zaměřit především na regionální programy.
Teoreticky mohou nové programy přinést zahraniční hráči. Jenomže pro nadnárodní společnosti není zajímavé vysílat bezplatně na běžnou anténu. Pokud by některé silné značky zvažovaly vstup na český trh, patrně pro ně bude zajímavější vysílat v placených platformách – tedy prostřednictvím kabelu, satelitu nebo televize přes internet.
Jednoduchá odpověď tedy zní – nové televize zřejmě vzniknou, ale budou především placené.
