Společné televizní antény jsou předmětem častých dotazů v poradně webu DVB-T2.cz. Problematika STA je poměrně komplikovaná, nicméně na jeden opakující se dotaz lze odpovědět poměrně jednoduše a věříme, že tato odpověď pomůže mnohým divákům.
Na některých domech totiž probíhají úpravy společné televizní antény (STA). Specializované firmy tuto anténu přizpůsobují pro příjem programů v DVB-T2. Technologická úprava si ovšem vyžaduje náklady ve stovkách, případně jednotkách tisíc korun na každou domácnost. Z tohoto důvodu se někteří diváci ptají, zda je i po zaplacení takovéto úpravy antény nutné zakoupit ještě set-top-box nebo TV přijímač pro DVB-T2. Přece divák zaplatil za vylepšení antény, tak proč by měl ještě platit za set-top-box?
Odpověď je ANO, i když to možná některé diváky nepotěší. Anténa je totiž pouze prostředkem k tomu, abyste TV signál mohli kvalitně přijímat a proto bylo nutné investovat do její úpravy. Starší set-top-box si však s tímto signálem stejně neumí poradit, tak budete potřebovat zakoupit nový set-top-box podporující kombinaci DVB-T2+HEVC.
